Emma Allen

"As Head of Horticultural Relations for the RHS, it’s my pleasure to work with horticultural experts through Trials, Bursaries, Expert Groups, Partner Gardens, Plant Societies, Chelsea Plant of the Year and more!  Prior to this I was a hands-on gardener.  I trained at Stanmer Park, Brighton and RBG Kew, and worked at Borde Hill Garden, Inner Temple Garden and Walpole Park in Ealing, before joining the garden team at Wisley as a Garden Manager, during an exciting time of change, creating such treasures as the Exotic Garden and Wisteria Walk.   I’m passionate about plants and wildlife, and love seeing what everyone else is up to in the diverse and wonderful world of horticulture."

Rosalyn Marshall

"In my role as Trials Project Manager I have oversite of the trials that the RHS runs at all of its gardens, and also sometimes at external gardens, where we want to test out hardiness or grow plants in specific conditions that we don’t have in our trials areas. I was previously part of the Botany team at the RHS, after graduating from Sheffield University, and worked on a series of monographs and researching naming queries for RHS publications. I am enjoying building up contacts in the trade and finding out how we can make the RHS Recommended: AGM the best tool it can be for plant selection."
